From July 9–12, Salon 21 will present the work of Brooklyn-based painter Jake Snowden at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, held at the Southampton Fairgrounds.

Snowden’s paintings engage in a contemporary dialogue with the rich legacy of Abstract Expressionism that helped establish the East End of Long Island as one of America’s most significant artistic communities. As artists such as Willem de Kooning and Jackson Pollock transformed the Hamptons into a center for experimentation during the mid-twentieth century, they created a visual language rooted in gesture, intuition, and material exploration that continues to resonate today.
